While I am Blogging

Here is what Todd and Morgan are doing while I am --- doing laundry, cleaning the back room and blogging!

SVDP Auction

We had a great evening at the annual SVDP Auction. This year's theme was Cajun - down by the Bayou. We really wanted to sport our Gator colors and recall the first National Championship in 1996 in the Bayou City. However, those Texas fans might not have appreciated it and since we still have two more Gator Girls that need to get in to SVDP we decided to refrain.

Food was good, Wine better and Friends the best!
Who babysat you ask??? Well, the director of Abigail's school, of course. Friends offered but, Mack and Abby love to hang with Sarah and Ethan (we shared a babysitter with the Venkers). And since it was such a late night we didn't want to really burden anyone. Besides, we need Aunt Keri, Aunt Barbara and Aunt Rochelle to look after Gator at Christmas.

Don, Kymberly, Todd and I before the bidding began.

Our big purchase was Mackenzie's class art project. Usually tough to get because we are often out bid. I, of course, really wanted it this year because of its holiday theme. We also picked up some parties for Mackenzie and an opportunity to have dinner with the ArchBishop.

Explanation of the Blog (actually the Blogger)

O.K. -- I finally started the Blog. Yes, I picked tonight for some reason - probably because I would get in a lot of trouble in Florida if I didn't post their Halloween pictures ASAP. So I started with Morgan's Birth, which of course is the reason for the Blog in the first place. (I know she is already 3 months old.) There is a lot missing between July 21st and October 31st. I have not mastered this blogging thing at all. As many of you know I can't even text message so it shouldn't come as no surprise. I promise to fill in the gaps with first baths, first Gator/Texans games, a High School Musical Birthday, a TinkerBell Birthday too and lots more when I learn how. I plan on taking lessons from David when he returns from Jersey. Meanwhile enjoy Halloween and check out how much they have grown since July.

Stay tune - the gaps will be full before you know it. And new things happen everyday.

Halloween Costumes

We had a great time trick or treating again this year. We certainly missed Uncle David, who is stuck in New Jersey, and Uncle Jewels, Braden and Gillian. Braden is sick and Gillian stayed with them to supervise. I am sure we have enough candy to share! The weather was perfect and I think there was better candy in the neighborhood this year (lots of chocolate with peanut butter.) One house was even giving out sodas - the kids got a kick out of that one.
Here are the kids modeling their costumes.

Mackenzie is a Hippy Witch decked out from head to toe in glam and glitter right down to the dangling spider earrings.

Abigail, a princess of course, dressed as Ariel this year. Wish I had a picture of her shoes which literally light up when she walks.

Morgan is a perfect pumpkin! Thanks to the Venkers who gave her this cute costume.

Maddie broke the gender barrier (this from the girl who was a fairy princess for years) and went as a Nascar driver - Jeff Gordon. Many gave her a hard time for her choice of drivers. One thing I can say - she did pick a winner.

Sean is dressed as an adorable dinousaur. All smiles for the camera.

Halloween

I think it is love at first sight. Dinosaurs love pumpkins!

The whole crew after trick or treating. Braden was sick (poor thing!) and Gillian was home supervising the candy distribution with Jewels.

Gators go home.

Getting ready to go home. A typical girl already practicing for her wedding day has "something old, something new, something borrowed, something BLUE and ORANGE." Mack and Abby both came home in that layette set (old and borrowed). The bib is new - appropriate for being born in the year of championships. Abuela brought the new blanket - blue and orange.

All the Gator girls prepare to go home.

Day Two

Big Sister Mackenzie holds her new sister.

Abigail takes a moment to "feed" her Bitty Baby. We have a picture of Mackenzie doing the same thing when Abigail was born.

Abigail can't get enough of her little sister.

Sarah, Ethan and Kymberly stop by to see the newest Gator Girl.

Aunt Tamme and Kendall sneaked out for a minute to pay a visit. Uncle Michael kept Caroline and Carson at home in the dark at where Mom and sister went. Wouldn't they be mad to find out!

Mr. Jewels and Gillian check out the newest to the club.

Aunt Michelle and Uncle Mark stop by (all the way from The Woodlands) when they heard the news.

Josh and Morgan share a moment.

Introducing Morgan Maria

Morgan Maria arrived on July 21, 2007 at 12:50 pm. She weighed in at 7lbs, 12 oz (clearly the runt of the litter). Yes, another girl - hence the name of the website - 3 Gator Girls!

Abigail is such a proud big sister.
